Toby Keith, I Wanna Talk About Me

At the time of this submission there was only a post of lyrics in the
archive and
they looked like they needed to be corrected to me so I tried to do my
best at
the lyrics and the chords as I can make them out. Hope you all enjoy it.
Key of F: this fun song sounds best with full barre-chords with barres
at the frets
suggested by the numbers shown below for this repeating progression, and
note
the stinger at the end of the progression with the Dm-C-Dm! It sounds
best if you play a barred-C on the 3rd fret in quick succession with the
Dm:
The chords of the song are carried along in the strong syncopated bass
line
(in the first three frets on a bass it sounds something like Obla Dee
Obla Dah:
F-A-C-C-E-G-D-F-A-Bb-D-F) you can see I'm not willing to draft up
a tab for this, but I think you can work it out from the CD. Play along
with the Video
on CMT or GAC and you will get it in no time. Have fun. Even the ladies
like this one!

Barred-Chord Progression and Intro:

F - C - Dm - Bb - F - C - Dm - Bb - Dm-C-Dm!
1 10 7 8 1 10 7 8 7 3 7

   F C
We talk about your work, how your boss is a jerk,
   Dm Bb
We talk about your church, and your head when it hurts,
   F C
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother,
           Dm Bb
'Bout your Daddy and your Mother and your crazy ex-lover,
   F C
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been,
   Dm Bb
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin,
    F C
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose,
    Dm Bb
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes,
         Dm G
You know talkin' about you makes me smile,
                    C7
But every once in a while . . .

	CHORUS:
                           F C
I wanna talk about me, wanna talk about I
                              Dm Bb
Wanna talk about Number One, Old My, Me, My,
               F C Dm
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see,
               Bb Dm G
I like talking about you, you, you, you, usually,
                 C7
	But occasionally,
                           F - C - Dm - Bb -
	I wanna talk about Me.
                           F - C - Dm - Bb - Dm-C-Dm!
	I wanna talk about Me-ee-ee.

   F C
We talk about your dreams, and we talk about your schemes,
     Dm Bb
Your high school team and your moisturizing cream
   F C
We talk about your Nana up in Muncie, Indiana,
   Dm Bb
We talk about your Grandpa down in Alabama
   F C
We talk about your guys of every shape and size
    Dm Bb
The ones that you despise and the ones you idolize
   F C
We talk about your heart, 'bout your brains and your smarts
    Dm Bb
And your medical charts, and when you start,
         Dm G
You know talking about you makes me grin,
                  C7
But every now and then . . .

	(Insert Chorus)

F C Dm Bb
You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you (slow)
F C Dm Bb
You, you, you, you, you, you, you (fast)

	(Insert Chorus)

                   F - C - Dm - Bb-
I wanna talk about Me!
    F - C - Dm - Bb - Dm-C-Dm!
Old Me-ee-ee
